Quarto. Ribbed cream cloth with large pictorial paste-on. 112pp printed on heavy stock with lovely decorations in soft tones of pink and gray by Clara Powers Wilson. Several entries briefly document the babyhood of the two sons of Myrtle Guidery Kilkenny and Lucas Edward Kilkenny of Salinas, California. Their baby boys were born in 1913 and 1918. Two photos of one of the babies laid in. The toys given the older son included an ivory ring, a celluloid rattle, "The Red Dog", wooden letter blocks, a rocking horse, and a teddy bear won at a raffle by his father. Light foxing to end papers and first leaf, light cover soil, spine darkened, small nick to spine edge else about Very Good. A beautiful book.

7"x8" Pink padded decorated cloth, all edges gilt, white moiré silk endpapers. (48)pp. Ten beautiful full-page chromolithographs, seven of which are portraits of babies and three of childhood scenes, and with many line drawings throughout the pages, the whole printed on heavy stock. Depicted are fairies and flowers, babies, children, dolls and toys. Baby's First Ride is illustrated with mother and child in an open touring car. Included are poems about babies and blank areas to record events and place photos of baby's new life. A lovely Victorian baby book. Small rough spot ffep, cloth slightly faded else Very Good+ Unused.

A charming baby book with a dash of gentle humor: "Pretty soon I was able to crawl on my tummy. It was lots of fun. I got into plenty of mischief." Unused and Near Fine in original white pebbled box (closed tear to side panel).
