"An autobiographical history of a Western Nebraska region from its initial settlement, its half century of progress, and final development into the most fertile, prosperous and populous section of the state." Inscribed to the ffep by the author's daughter, "...and I know Dad would want you to have one of the first completed copies." Laid in is a typed, signed letter from the printer, "Will try and touch on a little history of this book as it might be of a little extra interest to you as I made up every page and printed it all four pages at a time on an old hand fed press." He discusses the completion of the book shortly before Wood's death and ends with, "I could type better on a lynotype". Small puncture to base of spine, apparently a binding flaw else Near Fine in somewhat tattered dustjacket. Price:
