8.5"x5.5" Pictorial boards. [48]pp with delightful color and black & white illustrations by Walter Trier. Trier made the pictures for many of Erich Kastner's books, including the classic Emil and the Detectives. He also wrote and illustrated his own books, among which is his charming Dandy the Donkey series. Paper loss along spine, soil and wear to covers and lower corners, one opening where leaves were stuck together in lower blank margins near gutter. Contents clean and tight. Good.
