Yashima, Taro Crow Boy (signed) New York: Viking Press / Junior Literary Guild, 1955 4th Printing, 1962 Folio. Decorated rust cloth. 37pp with Taro Yashima's distinctive illustrations in rich, bright colors. The sensitively told and ultimately joyous story of a small boy who was taunted by his schoolmates. Awarded a Caldecott Honor. Yashima painted a scarecrow on the half-title and signed it with his chop; on the opposite page he's written a brief inscription dated 1965, and painted a small crow. Small nick to cloth at fore-edge, minor wear, but with a puncture mark which goes through the board on the upper cover. Good. Contents clean. Price:

Yashima, Taro Umbrella (signed) New York Viking Press (1963) Fourth Printing 9.5"x8.25" Sea-green decorated cloth. 32pp with Yashima's unique color illustrations throughout. The story of three-year-old Momo and her exciting birthday presents - red rubber boots and an umbrella! In real life, Momo was the Yashimas' own daughter. Inscribed, dated (Christmas 1964), and signed with his chop mark to the dedication page by Taro Yashima. Yashima also painted a small watercolor of a butterfly and a little Kokeshi doll. A 1959 Caldecott Honor Book. Child's name to ffep; cloth abraded to board about two inches on upper edge of lower cover. Very Good in all other respects. Dustjacket edge worn and lightly chipped at spine ends and corner tips. Price:
