8.5"x11" Pictorial boards. [32]pp with color illustrations throughout. Set at the turn of the century, this is the story of a young woman who works on the railroad and who wants to be an engineer. Moss was inspired to write this story when she saw a period photograph in the California State Railroad Museum which showed ten women in overalls posed in front of a freight train, freight loaders for the Union Pacific in Cheyenne. There are records of a woman engineer working on the B&O. Fine in dustjacket. Signed by the author to the ffep and dated in the year of publication.
