She offers her own version and also five other tellings: Gianbattista Basile's "Sole, Luna e Talia" from Italy, Charles Perrault's "La Belle au Bois Dormant" from France, Grimm's "Dornroschen" from Germany, Bradley-Birt's "The Petrified Mansion" from Bengal, and Jeremiah Curtin's "The Queen of Tubber Tintye" from Ireland.
