8vo Blue decorated cloth. 294pp. This copy a reprint from 1941. A best-selling psychological drama about a colony of nuns in an isolated Himalayan valley, made into a 1947 film which garnered several Academy Awards. Nice reprint from the era, uncommon in the jacket. A little darkening to paste-downs and fore-edge else Near Fine. Dustjacket chipped and worn.

Candy Floss was a special little doll who brought good luck to her owner who ran the coconut toss at the fair. Then spoiled Clementina Davenport spyed Candy Floss and wanted her for her own. Fine in Very Good+ dustjacket (tiny chips to spine ends and corner tips, lower panel lightly dusted).
