[48]pp. The story of a boy who sings for a queen, but only in the forest at night when the moon is full and he can smell the leaves and grass and the sea beyond. This enchanting little story is illustrated in full color and with black & white drawings by Trina Schart Hyman. Quite an early title by her. Two pages with long corner creases not touching illustrations. Small red mark at upper edge of one page - possibly a result of the printing process, else Very Good in dustjacket (frayed, price clipped).
