Potter, Beatrix Peter Rabbit New York: Grosset & Dunlap (1955) Weisgard, Leonard 9.25"x11.5" [28]pp with wonderful color lithos by Leonard Weisgard. As always, Weisgard utilizes color to striking effect. There's a particularly nice double-page spread of Peter slipping away under the fence, leaving behind his little jacket and shoes. One of Grosset's Nursery Treasure Books, this printing from the mid-60's. Pictorial boards lightly worn at spine ends else Very Good. Price:

Potter, Beatrix The Fairy Caravan New York: Warne (new edition of 1951, reprinted 1957) 8vo. Green decorated boards. 225pp illustrated with six color plates, including frontis, and numerous line drawings, many full-page. Though she had not intended this book to reach print, at the insistence of Anne Carroll Moore and other American admirers of her work, Potter sent it for publication. The story of a miniature traveling circus with animals playing all the parts. Small spot to upper cover (appears to be a dab of bindery glue) else Fine in Very Good+ dustjacket, lightly frayed. Potter, Beatrix The Tailor of Gloucester from the original manuscript New York: Warne (1968) First Edition 8vo Pictorial boards. 64pp with 12 color plates including frontis. Introduction by Leslie Linder. Three-quarters of The Tailor of Gloucester was cut by Warne upon its original publication. Even the privately printed version Beatrix Potter published herself necessitated the elimination of eleven hundred words. This trade edition from the original manuscript retains all the nursery rhymes and whimsical details removed from previous editions. Fine in dustjacket. Price:
