Apparently the first collaboration between this talented writer and artist who went on produce three Caldecott Honor books together. A book about chosing your special rock. "The size must be perfect. It has to feel easy in your hand when you close your fingers over it. It has to feel jumpy in your pocket when you run." Neat inscription to half-title else Very Good. Dustjacket price-clipped with piece missing at edge of lower panel, a few edge tears, minor soil.
