A McLoughlin Junior Color Classics title and an uncommon edition of the tale. Chipping at spine ends, two small closed tears to spine, small stain to upper board at fore edge, some rubbing to extremities. A clean Good+ copy.

12mo Red cloth with large color paste-on. [56]pp with twenty-four wonderful full-page color illustrations by an unknown hand. The story of the quick-witted child who fools all the tigers but not attributed here to Helen Bannerman. A title in Donahue's Peter Rabbit Series. Child's name to verso of ffep, two margin tears to one leaf else Very Good. The scarce dustjacket worn and lightly soiled, spine sunned, chipped at spine ends and corners, child's name and date faintly written to upper panel. An uncommon edition of this well-loved tale.
