1 Carigiet, Alois
Anton the Goatherd
New York Walck, 1966 First American Edition
9.75"x12.75" Pink cloth. (40)pp. Swiss artist Alois Carigiet lived in a mountain village in his youth and dedicated this beautiful book to the little goatherds of the Surselva. Here is the story of Zack, who braves a storm to rescue his three favorite goats. Carigiet's large color images are luminous - why, the air is even thinner in them, high up there in the mountains. Alois Carigiet was a winner of the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration and this is a lovely book. Very Good+ Dustjacket frayed and lightly chipped with minor spotting.
