An account written for children of the life of the first American President. The d'Aulaires won the Caldecott Medal for their portrayal of Abraham Lincoln. Child's name and address upper paste-down. Spine head torn and frayed, corners worn, edges rubbed, covers lightly soiled. Two leaves with mended gutter tears; hinges repaired. The final portrait of Washington has some neat outlining by a child and a small stain in the margin of the facing page else contents clean. Reading copy.
